What this site is
TrueCarCost.online is a free set of vehicle cost calculators. You don't need an account to use it, and the calculators themselves run in your browser — the numbers you type in are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
Information we collect automatically

Third-party data sources
Some figures shown on this site (vehicle pricing, fuel economy, VIN decoding, regional fuel and electricity prices) are retrieved from third-party public and commercial data providers, described on our methodology page. Requests made to decode a VIN or look up live pricing are sent to those providers' public APIs directly from your browser or our server as needed to generate your result; we do not retain a log tying a VIN or lookup to you personally.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
